As weӶe already mentioned above, Blackjack's basic rules apply in this progressive variation too. Upon betting, you and the dealer receive two cards each. Your goal is to create the highest possible hand without exceeding 21 points. Cards are worth their face value with the exception of face cards which are each worth 10 points and Aces which are worth either 1 or 11 points. If the value of your hand happens to be closer to 21 than that of the dealer's, you win. If the value of the dealer's hand happens to be closer to 21 than yours, you lose. If the hands are of the same value, it's a tie and you get your money back. If you have a point total of 22 or higher, you lose regardless to the dealer's hand value. Blackjack beats a 21 point total.
In Progressive Blackjack, you can place an additional bet in an attempt to hit the jackpot. The side bet costs $1, out of which a pre-established percentage is allocated to the Progressive jackpot pool. If you make the winning combination of cards as determined in the Progressive paytable, you become eligible for an additional payout. The most profitable Progressive payout you can collect is the Progressive jackpot. You can win the Progressive jackpot upon receiving four Aces one after another. The Aces must be of the same suit and starting from the first card in your hand.
Right after the Progressive jackpot is won, casinos participating in the making of the pot start a new one. These casinos will place a certain base amount in the pot (referred to as 'seed'). This procedure ensures that, even if you happen to make a winning card combination right after someone else hit the Progressive jackpot, you will still be awarded a rather impressive amount of money.
Note: Each game features its own Progressive jackpot which is built by all online gambling destinations that offer the game. In this particular game, the seed amount is 50,000 X the bet size of your jackpot. The contribution rate is 3%.
